FAQs
What are Life Groups?
Life groups are weekly small group gatherings held in person at hosts’ homes, at The Unity Center, or in another community venue, such as a clubhouse or library throughout the year. Gatherings last about 1-½ hours to 2 hours. (A virtual group is available).
Sign-ups are for two weeks with spaces limited by how many hosts are available. Groups meet for seven weeks of study and discussion based on videos of Rev. Wendy’s talks on the topic.
What Are The Goals Of Life Groups?
Come together in small groups for greater connections with each other, our Center, and our greater community
More deeply engage in our spiritual teachings
Support each other in our personal and spiritual growth
Work together to fulfill the mission of the Center
Practice loving-kindness by serving others with each other
What happens in a Life Group may vary a bit by group, but the general format is:
Opening Prayer and Check In
Viewing of video segments of Rev. Wendy’s talk on the current topic
Discussion of questions on the segments shown
Wrap-up and announcements
Pray out
Refreshments and social time
(Participants are encouraged to take an active role in the group by signing up to pray in or out, lead the discussion, keep track of time, provide refreshments, etc.)
